Sunday
Terms of service
Effective May 2, 2026
These terms cover using Sunday — the iOS app, the website, and the Sunday Studio subscription. Using Sunday means you agree to them. Questions: lucas.porter.bakker@gmail.com.
What Sunday is
Sunday is a weekly photo letter. You curate photos through the iOS app, and once a week we send a beautifully laid-out email to the people you've chosen — typically grandparents and close family. Recipients can view past letters and albums on the web.
Your account
You need a working email address to use Sunday. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials private and for what's done from your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has accessed it.
Account holders must be 16 or older. If you add photos of children, you confirm you're their parent or guardian, or have permission from the parent or guardian.
Your content
Photos, captions, and recipient information you put into Sunday belong to you. You grant us a limited license to store and deliver them — only as needed to run the service (e.g., emailing your letter, showing it on the recipient's web album).
You agree not to use Sunday to send content that:
- You don't have the right to share.
- Is unlawful, harassing, or invades someone else's privacy.
- Sexualizes minors. We have zero tolerance for this and will report it.
- Is unsolicited bulk email — Sunday is for personal letters to family and friends, not marketing lists.
Sunday Studio (subscription)
Sunday Studio is an optional paid plan that unlocks albums, search, and other keepsake features. Pricing is shown in Canadian dollars on the Studio page. Today the plans are:
- Monthly — $8 CAD per month, billed monthly.
- Yearly — $72 CAD per year, billed once a year (about 25% less than monthly).
Trial. New accounts can start a 30-day trial without a card. After day 30, Studio features lock unless you add a card.
Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. We'll charge the card on file using prices in effect at renewal. We'll email you a receipt each time.
Cancel anytime. You can cancel from your account on the Studio page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep Studio access until that date.
Refunds. We don't offer prorated refunds for partial months or years. If something goes wrong on our side, email us and we'll make it right.
Price changes. If we change Studio pricing, we'll email you at least 30 days before your next renewal so you can decide whether to keep going.
Your archive after cancellation. Letters and photos you've already sent stay in your archive. Studio gates new collections (albums, search), not the memories you've already made.
The service itself
We work to keep Sunday running, but we don't promise zero downtime. Sunday is provided "as is." We do our best to deliver every weekly letter on time, but we can't guarantee email delivery to every recipient (inboxes do their own thing).
We may update, add, or remove features. If we plan to discontinue the service or a major feature, we'll give you reasonable notice and a way to export your photos.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms — especially the content rules above. You can close your account anytime by emailing us; we'll delete your data per the privacy policy.
Liability
To the extent allowed by law, Sunday and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses (lost data, lost income, etc.) arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to what you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Canadian consumer protection law that can't be waived by contract.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Ontario, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
Changes
If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we'll update the effective date and email account holders. Continuing to use Sunday after that means you accept the updated terms.
